Hannah

If there are photos where you can HEAR laughter….they are right here in this post.  Hannah, what a sweet, beautiful girl.  We met at the beginning of her session and after 5 minutes she had ME smiling from ear to ear.  Another one of those young people in this generation that make you KNOW that our future is bright.  I dare you to look at her photos and not smile yourself.  This girl radiates joy…  It was my sincere pleasure to meet Hannah and to be able to capture her session photos.

enjoy the beautiful Hannah…

Gable

“The more the sugar, the more the better” is one of my favorite quotes from Gable.  He was probably 12 or 13 when he had dinner at our house and I asked if he wanted dessert, that was his response.  Love it!  Gable played baseball and basketball with our oldest son, always a really nice kid with a fabulous sense of humor.   And that little boy grew up into just as kind of a young man and still with a great sense of humor.  We had fun during his session.  We shot his photos at an amazing location in the country called “Barnes’ Place”.  It is a venue that hosts weddings and reunions and Gable’s Mom works there part-time.  I enjoyed catching up with Gable in the car on the way there, and during his session.  He has such a great heart.  We even snuck some photos in of his Dad’s old football Hawkeye Rose Bowl gear and that was before we knew the Hawkeyes were headed back there this season.

Enjoy these pictures from our day…such a great kid.

David

David is another senior who I have watched grow up, the little red head boy from church is now a full grown man.  I love that he still has a little but of a mischievous smile and I love that I was able to pull that out of him a few times during his session.  David is the kind of guy you want your daughter to marry.  He is kind, generous and thoughtful.  He puts others before himself.  I have seen it up close, but I have also watched him from afar.  This guy has a heart made of gold and a faith to match it.

Enjoy the handsome David…

Elly

Another natural beauty, Elly.  This girl did NOT take a bad photo.  Elly’s Dad has a great eye for locations, and photography as well and he had scouted out some spots to shoot for Elly.  Elly’s Mom has the best style and she has passed that onto her daughters as well.  Between Elly’s parents I felt like I hardly had a job to do, and I mean that in a wonderful way.  I have known this family for many years, and have loved watching their daughters grow up into young women.  We had so much fun during this session and I am guessing I said “you look beautiful, great shot, that is amazing” 400 times in the 2 hours we were together.

Enjoy the lovely Elly…

The Deaton Family

I met the Deaton family a few years ago when I took their family photos.  Their boys were young, in braces.   How can it be time to capture Zach as a senior?   We snuck in a family session along with his senior photos.  It was a lovely evening to be outdoors.  Zach is a handsome guy who had a good attitude about his photos, not always the case with those senior guys.  I think he knew me well enough to know I would make it as painless as possible.  We had fun.
